Company History
Since inception, our strategy has been to acquire coal reserves and properties with relatively long lives and which could be developed with low risk at a reasonable cost. We have accomplished this through a series of property purchases and leases and by avoiding the assumption of significant legacy liabilities. In addition, we have recently invested in other natural resource assets, primarily oil and gas property, which we believe will provide diversity to our income streams by providing royalty income.
